Tattooing has always been about lineage, codification, belonging. You wear an image, and it tells the world what you are part of. But what happens when an AI—a system with no lineage, no culture—tries to participate? It takes what it has been trained on, misremembers, and mutates. This project is about that process. What AI steals. What it forgets. What it creates instead.
The original designs were deliberate, structured, tied to history. They referenced Irezumi’s formalism, Tibetan guardian masks, the esoteric geometry of sigil-making. But when run through an AI model trained on visual entropy, they became something else—a post-traditional artifact, a corrupted heirloom, a myth made by mistake.
