The Who She Feel She Is collective aims to bring visibility to women across the Caribbean diaspora working in and towards leadership positions and to challenge those in power to champion them. We are taking the Trinidadian expression “Who She Feel She Is” — often used to criticize women for defying cultural expectations of who they can and should be — to celebrate women taking up space, defining their own standards, and living life on their own terms. We believe that deep gender inequities in the Caribbean will begin to heal once we have more women in positions of power — from the Carnival industry through to government.
