Confession from a backcountry baddie: I don’t like telling people I used to patrol because I still have imposter syndrome even though it was almost 5 years ago & I was great at my job (just clumsy) 🫠
It was definitely challenging but I’m really glad I did that season on patrol! I’m so grateful to those who believed in me and took a chance on a naive rookie to join the team because ultimately that experience lead me into a career in the outdoors. 😌 Yes I had some embarrassing moments and HUGE imposter syndrome, but I got the job done. I completed every task that I was assigned, responded to all the calls I got, and provided A+ first aid to everyone who needed it. BUT MAN I WAS STRESSED OUT HAHAHAH 😰
I really hope that this vulnerable post can help another gal who might be feeling a bit in over her head in an outdoor position. You can do this!! It’s scary but that means it’s worth while! ❤️
Also the book is States of Adventure by the same guy who does the Dirtbag Diaries podcast -...
