Surprisingly, there are very few Latinas in the meat based treat space. Personally, I’ve faced imposter syndrome not only in the meat based treat space but throughout my career and academic journey. In college and university, I was often one of just six females in male-dominated classrooms, and usually the only Latina. It was though, but I learned to rise above and refuse to let self-doubt hold me back. To all the women facing similar challenges: You belong! Your voice matters! Your perspective is valuable!
