The Routeburn Track just out of Queenstown is one of nine ‘Great Walks of New Zealand’ which takes you through ancient forest and over snow covered mountain ranges. The track is about 35kms can be walked in two or three nights. It has camping spots and huts along the way with water and toilets. Make sure to visit New Zealand Department of Conservation website to book your spot. We booked about a month ahead but sometimes all availability is booked out months in advance!
