Philodendron Splendid A hybrid between verrucosum and melanochrysum (both found in the rainforests of Central America), this plant loves a good dose of humidity (preferably over 60%). Melbourne has decent natural humidity but usually sits between 45 and 60%. I find keeping this plant close to the bathroom where it can get the excess humidity from the hot shower is enough to give it what it needs.
