[Swipe for growth from May 2020] Many things have struggled during COVID but not this Monster Deliciosa. It was on its death bed a couple years ago when I had no idea what I was doing. Too much watering and using an old soil that wasn’t draining well and causing the roots to rot. You can see the dying and small leaves in the last photo. Just after that photo, I cut off the dead leaves and gave her some well draining soil. She started to stabilise and put out bigger, healthier leaves. I moved to a new place at the start of summer last year and the extra hours of daylight combined with a north facing window meant she was able to generate more energy to push out bigger leaves. She’s pushed out 5 massive leaves this summer including the biggest in the second picture. Most leaves are now facing the same way which to me, makes this a living artwork.
