For years, my life has been about building.
The next project, the next partnership, the next milestone.
And when you’re always building, it’s so easy to forget how far you’ve already come.
When I started, it was just an idea in a college dorm room. I was just a kid showing up in a really (really) bad princess costume to a hospital because I believed a little joy could change things.
There was no big business plan.
There was just heart, hustle, and hope.
Somehow, that small act turned into something so much bigger. Hundreds of thousands of children impacted, thousands of volunteers, hundreds of hospitals, and countless moments of connection that still take my breath away.
But even now, I catch myself saying it:
I have to.
I have to send that email.
I have to make that thing better.
I have to keep pushing forward.
I have to reach that next goal.
And then I remember:

I get to.
I get to do work that means something.
