One year ago today, I had the honor of ringing the New York Stock Exchange bell in celebration of A Moment of Magic.
The NYSE isn’t exactly known for Taylor Swift hand hearts, rainbow superhero capes, and sparkly shoes…but on that day, it absolutely was.
I’ll never forget the moment three incredible young girls, each having gone through cancer treatment, stepped onto the trading floor. People stopped what they were doing, looked up, and smiled big, full smiles.
These girls walked through like they belonged there, like they had done it a million times over while major media outlets like CNBC captured it all, broadcasting the moment to audiences around the world. One of the most intimidating rooms in America was nothing for these heroes. Their capes swayed behind them, their smiles lit up the floor, their giggles echoed through the room and were contagious.
For a few powerful moments, Wall Street felt like it was standing still, in awe of their strength.
That was pure magic.
