The first movie I remember being fully and completely obsessed with was The Lion King. Like any true 90’s kid, I would watch the VHS over and over and over again. I once demanded to be Simba for Halloween and later named my first puppy Simba. There was something from the first time I watched the movie from a young age that truly and completely captivated me and I still feel such an affinity toward it. So to say I was completely thrilled and humbled to be able to attend The Lion King on Broadway is a total understatement. I was transported back into the nostalgia of the music and characters I love while being completely enchanted by the beautiful, artistic, and intentional way it was brought to life from the very first moments. It was breathtaking and magical and I cried no less than three times.
