Human nest building ❤️ WOW 2 years ago this week, Los Osos was hit hard by a 2023 bomb cyclone storm. Our little beach town had lots of damage and Mud slides , my home was almost wiped out by my fav 60' eucalyptus tree that was soil soaked , damaged and ready to fall. I was heartbroken , had grown to love and made my house feel like a private treehouse.Had decided the night before it was cut down , to build a nest and save as many branches as I could to weave into it. Stood out in the rain and mess the entire day, sorting branches, crying and putting them into piles that I could use 🥲The tree crew likely thought I was insane, 2 years later it has evolved into this beautiful nest that I enjoy daily in it's new form . Now evolved into the perfect perch overlooking the bay at sunset.
