I’ve often been misjudged as a man-hater, someone who despises every man. But that’s far from the truth. I’ve had the privilege of knowing, being raised by, being married to, and working alongside remarkable men. I don’t hate all men—absolutely not. But I am an angry feminist, and when you look at what’s happening in the world, how could I not be? My experiences, the relentless trolling, and the verbal (+mental and physical) abuse I’ve endured from some men have left a mark. Yet, I’ve also been blessed with men in my life—my husband, colleagues, and others—who have shown me kindness, respect, and support. Their words mean the world to me, and I cherish them deeply. I never forget what people say to me, whether good or bad. I love my husband beyond what words can express, and I’m forever grateful to Papa, my grandfather for encouraging my education and supporting me unconditionally.
