If you tune into Southeastern Conference softball this weekend, you’ll see a lot of teal and one message everywhere: “All for Alex.”
This conference-wide tribute honors Alex Wilcox, a former Mississippi State Bulldogs softball player who passed away from ovarian cancer in 2018 at just 18 years old.
Started by coaches like Beth Torina and Samantha Ricketts, the initiative has grown into something the entire SEC takes part in each year.
Teal represents ovarian cancer awareness and the message is simple: no one fights alone.
