It’s not about where you’re at, it’s about where you’re going: Every trip has a starting point and an ending point. Setting a goal for training is similar to setting a destination for your travel plans. This allows for you to get where you’re going in the most efficient manner possible. No trip is without its inconveniences and bumps along the way. Focusing on those things will guarantee a poor experience so it’s better to focus on the destination instead. If you’re traveling to some place that’s nice, don’t ruin it by focusing on the unpleasant things. Likewise, progress in training is not linear.
