Tactical race today where no one wanted to take the lead because of the wind. The opening lap in H1 was a leisurely 1:08 which turned lap 2 into a contest to see who could run the fastest second lap. KVP placed third in her heat and 46th overall in the open 800m. In distance running there’s a difference between how far you have to run and where the actual race begins.
