This #MothersDay, we are thankful for the #healthheroes all over the world who work tirelessly to help new moms. Nurses, midwives, and other health workers are essential to ensuring moms and babies everywhere can thrive, even during a pandemic. But every 11 seconds a pregnant woman or newborns dies, mostly from preventable causes. That’s an estimated 2.8 million deaths every year. We must ensure that a future with #EveryChildAlive is possible, by fully equipping health workers with the right medicine, training, and equipment.
