📍PARIS // PLACE DES VOSGES Place des Vosges is the oldest square in Paris. It was built by Henri IV in 1605 and was originally called the Place Royale. Henri IV never saw the completion of the square when he was assassinated in 1610. The inauguration of Place Royale took place in 1612. Since then, it has been a meeting place for French nobility. Victor Hugo was a notable former resident of Place des Vosges, his home is now a museum open to the public. The charming square is located in Marais district of the 4th Arrondissement. ▪️ ▪️ ▪️ ▪️ ▪️ #placedesvosges #vosges #parispark #parisparks #frencharistocracy #aristocrat #emilyinparis #placestogo #wheretogoinparis #famouslandmarks #visitingparis #parislove #paristour #weekendinparis #filminglocation #filminglocations #instagrammableplaces #instagrammable #parksandrec #naturevibes #frenchvibes #parisvibes #parisianlife #parisianchic #thisisvola #volatravels
