The issue of childcare is a topic I deeply care about. Eight years ago when it had my first baby, I couldn’t afford paying $450 a week for daycare a month, that was half my paycheck. So it meant our son went to a daycare that honestly wasn’t great and the workers were over capacity. We pulled him out early, and my husband stood home with him till we found care for him. That same year it just so happened that I went to grad school, and the college I attended offered childcare all year around from 2k to pre- k, at a very low cost. He grew and was so loved there.
