Ethiopia faces one of the highest rates of maternal mortality in the world. This troubling fact is due in part to the lack of adequate and up to-date training for midwives and maternal health care workers. Through @UNFPA’s palm-sized solar-powered smart projector could help reverse the trend. With the mobile tool, health workers in hard-to-reach areas are given a new level of access to information that can save lives, ranging from strengthening newborn care to addressing childbirth complications to using family planning. .
