According to a new report from the @worldfoodprogramme, @fao, and the @europeancommission, the number of people in the world facing food crises has remained well over 100 million in the last three years. Conflict and insecurity, climate shocks – the main drivers of food insecurity – are destroying lives and compromising communities. In fact, more than half of those facing acute hunger were located in countries affected by conflict or insecurity. Additionally, climate and natural disasters pushed another 28 million people into acute food insecurity in 2018.⠀ ⠀ .⠀ Yet, a #ZeroHunger world by 2030 is possible. Now is the time to get back on track by fostering peace and taking #ClimateAction.
