More than 1 billion people around the world live without access to electricity, and in many communities, health clinics don’t have reliable power. Today is Universal Health Coverage Day, which calls for all nations to provide their citizens with affordable, quality health care. Clinic electrification is key to providing quality health care – without it, medical equipment can’t be powered, vaccines can’t be preserved, and clinics can’t light surgeries, deliveries, and emergency services in the dark. Learn more about our work to support the UN and its partners to close the energy access gap for health facilities and help achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (link in bio).
