It’s basically the VIP experience without the VIP prices 😉 Rope drop is all about front-loading your day at Disney and THAT sounds like a great way to Maximize the Magic if you ask me! On average, in those first 90 minutes, you can get way more done than the next 4 to 5 hours combined. 👏👏👏 🎢 How many rides in the first 1.5 hours? - Average family pace: 3-4 rides - Efficient / power-walk pace: 4-5 rides Rope drop doesn’t mean showing up at 8am, it means be at the gate by 7 AM for an 8 AM rope drop. This allows time to go through security and walking up to the rope in your preferred lands. That’s how you score walk-ons and empty castle photos! Staying at a nearby hotel like @westinanaheim is added convenience since it’s usually a 10-15 minute walk and you can avoid parking in the garage.
