#ThrowbackThuraday to that time I was “working” and being reminded that there are still those who are truly thankful for anything and everything we do as medical providers. Being an #ERNurse inside a busy #LevelOneTraumaCenter has led me down multiple avenues I would never have imagined 5 years ago. Ayear ago, I was given an opportunity I could not pass up even though there was a lot of unanswered questions and time to be taken from my full-time job. With this opportunity, came a little bit of traveling for a few weeks (who passes up Hawaii) to assist in a new clinic that models an approach to urgent care service delivery that has NEVER been attempted in the United States in order to bring the knowledge of sophisticated, university-affiliated emergency medicine and trauma center with the needs of a rural island community in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.
