FRUIT TREE HIGHLIGHT: The highlight of our favorite fruit tree series from our backyard orchard culture. The Longue d’Août fig variety ripens relatively earlier than other fig varieties. It produces two crops, the breba crop is usually larger, lighter flesh, and long; while the main crop produces smaller, darker flesh, round shaped figs. It is sweet with a melon like flavor.
