#ThrowbackThursday: #UNDay has been celebrated on 24 October every year since 1948. In 1953, it was marked at #UnitedNations Headquarters in New York with a large gathering outside the #UN building. The outdoor ramps of the General Assembly served as a stage for speakers and delegates from the then 60 Member States.
