LOOFAH GROW ALONG: Loofah or luffa? Either way however you say it or spell it, it’s apart of the cucurbit family which consists of cucumbers, melons, squash, and gourds. Growing loofah’s require a long and hot growing season. These grow long vines that will require support to climb. Our growing season is long, so we are waiting for these to turn brown on the vine and harvest when it is dry. This is our first time growing loofahs. We cannot wait to use these as sponges and save the seeds to grow in the future.
