This is @veraecoresort in Matagalpa, Nicaragua A resort where all the profits go back to supporting the local community while also producing high quality organic food in the beautiful coffee growing region of Nicaragua. I found out about this place through an old friend from college whose dad is actually the one behind the non-profit organization supporting this initiative. They invited me out to come and see what they have done and it’s really incredible. The school supports some of the poorest communities in Northern Nicaragua giving incredible opportunities to kids in the area through learning English, sustainable agriculture, and tourism management. My two favorite parts were the fresh food and incredible staff. They’re so friendly and really make for a memorable stay.
