The US will no longer issue visas to the spouses and children of US citizens if they are from the following countries: Afghanistan, Angola, Antigua and Barbuda, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Chad, Republic of the Congo, Cuba, Côte d’Ivoire, Dominica, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Gabon, Gambia, Haiti, Iran, Laos, Libya, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Myanmar (Burma), Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Tanzania, Togo, Tonga, Venezuela, Yemen, Zambia, Zimbabwe Technically there is an exception for some of the countries if issuing that visa is within the United States’s national interest but this is extremely vague and likely very difficult to prove.
