This week we are highlighting @b_marchand who is a LPGA golfer and also has a degree in Chemical Engineering! Marchand's understanding of STEM has allowed her to "understand the game at its most fundamental level" which ultimately helps her become a better player. As an ambassador for Let's Talk Science, Brittany goes into communities and classrooms to engage youth in STEM-based activities. Tying the two fields together maximizes the kids interest and engagement. Brittany discusses things such as the projectile motion of the ball, friction created by groves, and even the forces your body has to create in order to hit the ball far. Brittany's goal is to tie in STEM to golf and show students how much math and physics are involved in the game! . . .
