#Repost @immigrantyouthcentre with @get_repost ・・・ It’s been an amaaazing season with the Science Squad! 🧪🤓From learning about outer space, 🚀 to constellations, 🌟 to investigating plant germination in different conditions, 🌱 each week consisted of fun facts, experiments, and activities aimed to expand STEM based knowledge and interests. 🧠 💡. ▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️ Let’s Talk Science UTSC also stopped by to teach us about chemical bonds through DNA extraction from a banana and some forensic science experiments! 🧬 🤔 . ▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️ More importantly, the Science Squad pursued their very own passion project and presented it to the class. 👩🏻‍🏫 👨🏻‍🏫 . Presentations included:. -sex education -the video game Pong -the scientific background and formation of snow -how the uphill roller defies gravity -computer science -water treatments -cancer -the water bear ▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️ Oh, and let’s not forget the epic slime party we had to wrap...
