Circa 2012 when I met a Legend. They say don’t meet your heroes. But I really wish that I took more pictures with all the heroes I’ve met. I read about his passing today and remembered how I’ve joked about how his speeches always rhymed and how it inspired and made me laugh a little. His life, history and impact has really been one to aspire to. In the nation, world and in our own community he was a pillar of hope and fight. I want to cherish our legends more. I also wish I had a picture where I was looking better. But to say that I was in the same lifetime, space and had the privilege of getting a picture with Jesse Jackson is an honor that I’ll cherish. #jessejackson #rip #rih
