In one week, I’m starting my full-time Product Manager role at Microsoft! 🥳 With 7 days left until I start, here are 7 of my biggest career lessons I learned throughout college that helped me get to this point ⬇️ ✅ Making your work visible to others during your internships is just as important as delivering high-quality work. ✅ Don’t just list out your responsibilities on the experience section of your resume. Describe and quantify your impact. ✅ Before any internship interview, always set up a coffee chat with at least one former intern so you know how to prepare. ✅ Ask others for feedback on a problem, but be prepared with your own solution first (i.e. “I was thinking X could solve Y because Z...what are your thoughts?”). ✅ Sometimes it’s not what you say, but how you say it. Improving your energy, storytelling skills, and public speaking can go a long way. ✅ Fully fill out all sections of your LinkedIn profile to optimize your search-ability for potential InMail invites from...
