This is my first
#endometriosisawarenessmonth since my surgery and diagnosis, and I’ve been recovering and processing the mixed emotions of being right. Being right feels like anger at the doctors who didn’t take my pain seriously over the last twenty years. But being right also feels like relief. I have answers, and we’ve done what we can to fix the problem as much as we can.
This isn’t my first chronic illness diagnosis, but each one has deepened my resolve to raise awareness and help others be their own advocate. If you’re facing unknowns with your health I hope you can give yourself grace, and I hope I can help you find the courage to stand up for what you know to be true and advocate for better care.
