Annual strategy meeting with my favourite teammate. If successful organizations plan to win, why wouldn’t we? We write the vision, commit it to God, and then act on it.
If you want to try something similar, here’s a simple structure to follow:
1. Schedule the meeting
Pick a date, choose a quiet space, and set aside uninterrupted time.
2. Reflect on the previous year
What worked well? What challenged us? What did we learn?
3. Align on priorities for the year
Faith, family, health, finances, career/school, home, travel, growth, giving, etc.
4. Set shared goals
Realistic, measurable, and agreed upon.
5. Set individual goals
So both people can grow personally, not just jointly.
6. Assign action steps
Who will do what, and by when?
7. Pray and submit the vision to God
Because strategy + faith > strategy alone.
8. Choose a check-in rhythm
Monthly, quarterly, or mid-year review.
It doesn’t have to be complicated or overly sophisticated, just intentional.
