Growing up, I was inspired by my parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, teachers, pastors, friends, and many others. I was a witness to success, failure, good times, bad times and everything in between. I was very fortunate to have a village with a colorful cast of characters pour into me early. In turn, I became a sponge. I learned to hold onto the good things and to discard the rest. That discernment gave me the vision for who I wanted to be, what I wanted to do and the grit to get there: It is such an amazing honor to, now, be a character in that same cycle of someone else’s life and bear witness to that process repeating itself.
