They call it the Grand Canyon of the East but this place deserves its own title Letchworth State Park is located 1 hour east of Buffalo, NY. Entry is $10 per vehicle and the most popular trail is the gorge trail which takes you past the three main waterfalls (upper, middle and lower falls). To see them all the hike is around 4.5 miles round trip with 1,100ft of elevation gain. If you have time take a hot air balloon ride over the gorge during sunset or sunrise for a truly magical experience!
