Who doesn’t love a front row show to one of the world’s greatest waterfalls?! Maid of the Mist in New York is by far the best way to experience Niagara Falls up close. This iconic 18 minute boat cruise takes you right to the base of the falls. When I say right up to the falls I mean it because you will get soaked but it’s all part of the fun! Tours run from both the U.S. and Canadian sides, but the U.S. boats are often less crowded, making for a more relaxed ride. Ticket prices are comparable between the US and Canadian tours. Tickets cost $30 per person on the US side and include a poncho (trust me, you’ll be happy you have it). You can walk across the peace bridge to Canada afterwards for free (or drive across for $8)!
