AD | @gorockford doesn’t have your average trail crew 🐐🌿 Hiking with goats was not on my 2025 bingo card but it ended up being one of my favorite things I’ve done all year. @grettasgoats is a small woman owned farm near Rockford, Illinois that offers the most entertaining guided goat hikes. Yes, it’s a little chaotic but it’s also a lot of cuteness. The hike itself is about a mile long and takes 45-60 minutes to complete (finally a hiking buddy with a pace I can keep up with)! Tickets can be booked online and are $21 per person while kids 2 and under are free. Gretta’s goats hike a few times per week and if you’re hoping to go on a weekend, I’d recommend booking 2-4 weeks in advance to secure your spot. The farm makes its own goat milk cheese and they also offer goat yoga seasonally and goat therapy if you want even more quality time with the goats!
