I didn’t follow the script I was handed. Growing up in a traditional Asian family, expectations were clear: stability, success, titles, the “safe” path. For a long time, I thought choosing anything else meant I failed. On paper, I might be one of the less successful ones. But out here—on back roads, quiet mornings, long drives, and nights under the stars—I’ve found something that numbers can’t measure. Happiness. Freedom. Purpose. This life isn’t about escaping responsibility. It’s about choosing what actually feels right. I’m sharing this for anyone who feels guilty for wanting more, or different. It’s okay to be happy.
