For @bendersmovie, we shot in an ice rink built in the 70’s — with lots of texture & character. While traditionally, teams may rig lights on to the overhead light rafters, we knew that those rafters were not trustworthy lol. Plus, the overhead lights gave us very little control beyond turning them off and on. So, the next best option was to build mobile book lights that the G&E team could push around the ice! Thankfully, the stands all had rubber wheel bases. Without rubber bases, the metal stands would MELT the ice and get stuck! Pro tip we learned before shooting 🫡 Thanks to the stellar team!
