💡 full lighting breakdown below ✨ In our thriller hockey film, @bendersmovie, the hockey rink is running off a generator due to a blizzard. As a DP, that gives me lots of freedom to decide which lights are on, and which lights are off. Woo! In this cafe scene that takes place at the end of the film, it’s nighttime and the snow has piled up outside the windows. Working with low drop ceilings is always a challenge — especially with our tall ensemble cast. Our Gaffer, @thenextsamuel, gave a great suggestion of installing pendant lamps with tungsten bulbs to give us flexibility in lighting, and add visual interest to the shot. We collaborated with our amazing Production Designer, @uglygaybabyboy and our Production Coordinator/Carpenter @will.t.schmid to pick the right ones/install them safely.
