Thoughts on conditioning,
#attachment & coercion
Many of our attachment wounds exist because it was not safe to self express in the conditioned environments we’ve lived in. Whether as children or adults, there is much we are “coerced” into involuntarily, to have our basic needs met.
As children our basic needs for survival shape our foundational attachments. We may not realize that our childhood and early adult lives often are operating out of a conditioned response to the systemic resources we have or don’t have access to.
In unhealthy environments, often those experiencing power imbalances will start to make complicit decisions in order to maintain their current status in the system.
This creates a dynamic of fear of rejection or revocation of resources that an individual has to weigh when they find themselves at risk but unsure what to do, or under-resourced to leave.
