There’s a balance waiting to be restored that can support us towards the reminder of truth - our own intuitive truth, not externalized by attachment. In trauma work a child survives often by sacrificing autonomy for attachment. Reclamation of autonomy is the balance by which healthy attachment can form, in not previously present.
When we cling and are attached to the structures around us we start to get comfortable with the structural illusion of security.
Our attachments shape the perceived structure in life, more money creates the perception of being financially stable, marriage creates the perception of healthy partners, habits create the perception of productivity, routines create the perception of being in control.
Our attachments to these often form out of an internalized idea that we MUST do these in order to be perceived as acceptable, competent, worthy of love.
