A few months back I was thinking about mornings. No regular routine, but always a place to be. My mind wandered to 15 years ago & sleepless raising three children under the age of 6, one newly diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. I remember rocking babies to sleep after nursing every two hours, staring into the sunrise over the Teton Mountain Range, half awake but holding onto what little time I had in the newborn phase. It got me thinking as I reminisced - about the cycles and rhythms - how we are often flowing without intention. We spend the early portions of our lives asleep from possibility. To intentionally set one’s life in motion is to wake up - observe and contemplate. To contemplate is to think profoundly, to meditate.
