JOMO > FOMO
The other day, I was chatting with a few friends about JOMO, and they had no idea what it meant—so I figured I’d share it with y’all!
JOMO = The Joy of Missing Out. Unlike FOMO (Fear of Missing Out), where you feel pressured to do things just so you don’t miss out, JOMO is about fully embracing what you actually want to do—without guilt.
I’ve been practicing this for years, and let me tell you, it’s been amazing! Like today after church, instead of watching the Super Bowl like everyone else, I went to the beach (one of my favorite places), skated, and just enjoyed the peace and quiet. No crowds, no noise—just me, fresh air, and the ocean. It was exactly what I needed.
