We were promised less war. We were promised America first. We were promised an end to endless conflict. Yet U.S. airstrikes continued in Syria. Operations continued in Iraq and Afghanistan. Drone strikes continued in Yemen and Somalia. Military force remained part of foreign policy. So the real question isn’t left vs. right. Why does every administration campaign on restraint… then govern with the same military playbook? When do “ending wars” and “protecting national interests” stop sounding like the same script with a different narrator? Accountability isn’t partisan. Peace shouldn’t be campaign rhetoric.
