Spanning the shore north of Bandon Dunes Resort, a golf speakeasy called the land home for many years. Unknown links of tees and greens were part of a PNW playground for those who’d heard of the fabled oasis, “Sheep Ranch.” . Well, stellar news, homies. The cat’s out of the bag and soon chasing birdies will be golfers from all over, as Sheep Ranch officially opens to the public in June 2020. . On our recent trip to the Pacific Northwest, we got a behind the curtains tour of the re-invention by Coore & Crenshaw & crew. They’ve been busy bees, navigating gorse, drop-off cliffs, and Oregon weather in the shape + seed stage. Witnessing a golf course come to life is pretty magical (although you couldn’t pay us enough dough to drive bulldozers that close to a cliff) 🤭. .
