What is a 401k? It’s an account that your company offers to help you grow your retirement savings and you can aim to match whatever they are contributing to it annually

The goal should be to max out your 401k each year if possible. This isn’t possible for everyone - so contribute as much as you can but aim to max it out

In 2024, the cap on the amount you should put into your 401k is $23,500/yr. Max out means, you aim to put that entire $23,500 if possible or at the least, match whatever your day job is contributing. Companies can contribute anywhere from 4%, 6%, 10% etc

What is ESPP? - this is an employee stock purchase plan. Some publicly traded companies offer discount on their stocks that range from 5% to 15% or maybe lower / to their employees
