Giving back never felt more full circle. 💫 This past weekend, I attended puertoricanflagsup’s first-ever Toy Drive Brunch at barriobx, to support the mission of delivering toys to children and families in need this holiday season. Standing alongside the founder and organizer, David, whose birthday it is today 🎉🥳 Thank you for the visual reminder and exemplifying the power of community and showing up for one another. The holidays were complex to navigate for me growing up. And today, still challenging to heal from the emotions that arise upon reflection and understanding into adulthood. I was raised in a dysfunctional home with emotional and financial challenges, so even the smallest gestures, whether we managed to have a tiny Christmas tree or I recieved a handwritten letter, felt monumental to me.
