From Bronx to Brooklyn to support @officialqueensny of @buddiesbk 🇵🇷☕️ Rachel’s story is exemplifies the heartbreaking reality of how gentrification dramatically impacts the community along with the hardest working small businesses owners - especially our people of color. The silver lining of the story has been the prominent positive example of how we can collectively unite as a community to showcase our support in events that will continue to unravel like this - we reclaim our resilience through supporting our local small businesses, mom and pop shops, and keep our neighborhoods an authentic representation of who we truly are, where we’ve come from and what we stand for. The outpouring of enormous love expressed here from the Nuyorican community - should always be expressed across our many business owners of colors who rely on us! We are seen. We are heard.
